Attorney Sari M. Friedman hit the green for a good cause yesterday—she played in Lifespire's 13 th Annual Golf Classic and also served as a sponsor for the charity golf tournament. The event was held as a fundraiser for Lifespire, an organization that provides services that help developmentally disabled individuals reach their life aspirations. The event, which took place on June 6, 2013, was held at the Cold Spring Country Club.
"I am honored to support such a wonderful organization with such a great reputation that does such wonderful things for those with disabilities," said Attorney Sari Friedman, who added that her law firm will be making regular donations to groups that assist people in need. According to Lifespire's website, the organization provides a broad range of services, including residential services, day habilitation services, supported employment, pre-vocational services, mental health services and more. Lifespire, which is in its 62 nd year of advocacy for disabled individuals, has served more than 5,000 disabled people. Individuals with developmental disabilities are able to turn to this organization for much-needed resources that the government no longer funds.
Those participating in the Lifespire Golf Classic competed for team placements in first, second and third place. The tournament involved multiple contests, including contests for "Hole N One," "Longest Drive," "Straightest Drive," "Closest to Pin" and "Honey Pot (50/50)." Participants were able to enjoy cocktails, dinner and awards after the tournament.
