Attorney Sari Friedman has
over 35 years of experience in matrimonial and
family law. As a mother of two, she recognizes the importance of family and of protecting
the rights of children and parents alike.
Sari and her team are dedicated to helping Long Island families with family

child custody to

Education & Background
Sari M. Friedman was admitted to the New York State Bar in February of
1981. Attorney Friedman obtained her BA in 1977 from Hofstra University
and then attended Hofstra University of Law, where she graduated with
honors as a member of Law Review. From 1980 to 1984, attorney Friedman
clerked in the Appellate Division Second Department, developing special
skills and expertise in appellate litigation. In 1984, Sari M. Friedman
entered into private practice, concentrating on matrimonial and family law.

Attorney Friedman is highly recognized in the Long Island and New York
legal communities for her experience and skill. She was named to
Legal Leaders Top Rated Lawyers in 2015 and 2016, a distinction only given to attorneys who have been honored

Sari Friedman was recently named one of the

Sari also acts as General Counsel for the
Fathers' Rights Association of New York State.

She serves as general counsel for the Fathers' Rights Association of
New York State and Long Island, and she is the author of numerous articles
on matrimonial and family law issues. Additionally, both attorney Sari
Friedman and attorney Andrea Friedman were named to Who's Who as a
Top Attorney in North America. Sari M. Friedman was featured in
Newsday on April 15, 2007 as Businesswoman of the Year for New York by the National
Republican Congressional Committee's Business Advisory Council. She
